How long will it take?
Most websites go live within 3 days. We move fast without cutting corners on the bits that actually win you the work.
Will I get work without doing any marketing?
A website only brings in jobs if people land on it. If folk already find you, through word of mouth, your van or your Google profile, Momentum turns those visitors into calls. If you want new work coming in, add Fast Start and we'll run your Google Ads, so the phone starts ringing within days.
Should I do Google Ads or SEO first?
Ads first, nearly always, and here is the honest version. Ads are the microwave: you pay per click, the phone rings this week, and it stops the day you stop paying. SEO is the slow cooker, and it genuinely pays back for a business that is established, funded and happy to wait. The catch is what you get sold. Google says plainly that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, so anybody ringing you promising page one is promising something Google itself will not. A click, by contrast, has a published price you can read before you spend a penny. That is why we run the ads and do not sell SEO at any price.
Someone rang me promising page one of Google. Are they worth listening to?
Ask them to put the promise in writing before you pay anything, and see what happens. Google's own guidance for people hiring an SEO says “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google”, and warns you off anyone claiming a special relationship with Google. Its description of how Search works goes further: “Google doesn't guarantee that it will crawl, index, or serve your page”. So the thing being sold to you down the phone is a thing the only company that could promise it refuses to. That does not make SEO a con, it makes an unconditional promise about it a lie.
Can you run my Google Ads as well?
Yes, that's Fast Start. £300 a month on top of Momentum to set up and run your Google Ads: the campaigns, the ad copy, tracking which ads bring the calls, and a plain monthly report. The account is yours, opened in your name with your own card on it, and you give us access to work in it. You pay Google directly for the clicks, so nobody is marking them up and you can see every penny for yourself. If you ever leave us, the account and everything we built in it stays with you. It's the quickest way to get the phone going. No setup fee. All prices include VAT.
How's this different from the lead-generation sites?
The big one: those sites sell the same lead to several trades at once, so you're paying to fight over a job on price, and plenty of those leads never even pick up. With us the calls come straight to you, nobody else gets sold the same job, and the customer is yours to keep rather than rented by the month. Stop paying a directory and you lose the lot. Stop paying us and you keep every customer you won.
What about Wix, WordPress or Yell?
Fair question. None of them is built for trades who want the phone to ring. Wix and WordPress are general builders, so getting the thing to actually win you work is left to you, and most don't. Yell sells you a template website that isn't built to bring in jobs, plus a directory listing that lumps you in with every other trade nearby. Momentum is £100 a month, fixed, and it's the plan everyone's on: the one-page website, hosting, ongoing tweaks to the words and layout when the numbers tell us to, and any updates you ask for. Fast Start is £300 a month on top and does two things: it runs your Google Ads, and it builds your website out into a page for every service and area you advertise, so every ad lands on a page about the exact job somebody searched for. Your ad budget is separate to that and you pay Google for it directly, from your own account. No setup fee, no build fee. All prices include VAT. Cancel any time.
Do I have to take the add-ons?
No. Momentum is the plan and it's £100 a month on its own, and plenty of trades start with just the website. Fast Start is the one add-on, and you can put it on later whenever you are ready, without touching your website.
What happens to the extra pages if I stop Fast Start?
They come offline at the end of that month and your website goes back to the single Momentum page, unless you tell us you'd like to keep them. If you do, they stay live for £50 a month and nothing else about your website changes. Either way your website, your domain and your leads carry on as normal, and we won't start charging you for the pages unless you ask us to. It's the same as the rest of what we build: while you're paying for it, it's live and working for you, and we don't hand the build over when you stop.
How do I pay, and what if I want to cancel?
You fill in your details on the site, then we send you a secure GoCardless link to set up the Direct Debit, which takes about a minute. Nothing is charged until you do that. Your £100 a month plan fee is billed monthly. Any add-ons are collected as separate payments on that same Direct Debit, so you may see more than one charge in a month, and we tell you the amount and the date before each one. If you're on Fast Start, your ad budget is not part of this: Google charges that straight to the card on your own account, so what we collect stays the same every month. No contract and no minimum term, on the plan or any add-on. No setup fee, no build fee. All prices include VAT. You can cancel with your bank at any time, no phone call to us, no notice period.
