For roofers and roofing firms
Websites for roofers that keep the diary full after the rain stops.
Roofing work comes in waves. The phone goes mad with leaks in autumn, then searches for roof repairs fall away through spring and summer and the diary thins out with them. We build roofing websites for both of the customers you get: the one with water coming through the bedroom ceiling who needs a number to ring now, and the one pricing a new roof who is weighing you up against two other firms.
Every homeowner who lands on your website has been warned about rogue roofers. The website's job is to answer that warning before they ask, with your real roofs and paperwork they can check, and then make ringing you the easy next step. If you want the work coming in faster, we run your Google Ads from your own account as well.

How homeowners pick a roofer
Every customer has been warned about rogue roofers.
Council Trading Standards teams publish the same warning over and over: a stranger knocks, says he has spotted a loose tile, quotes low, and once he is up the ladder the job grows into new felt or a whole roof. Their advice to homeowners is to get at least three written quotes, check the roofer's insurance, not pay large sums up front, and check any logo on a roofer's website directly with the body it belongs to.
The National Federation of Roofing Contractors tells homeowners much the same: pick up to three roofers, don't automatically take the cheapest, get it in writing, and ask about an insurance-backed guarantee. So your website is read against a checklist somebody else wrote. A roofing website that ticks it off in plain sight wins the call over one that only talks about quality and price.
The leak that needs you tonight
They want a number at the top of the screen and to know you deal with emergencies. They won't read much. Searches for emergency roof repair swing more than five times between the busiest month and the quietest, so this work arrives in bursts.
The re-roof they are pricing up
They are comparing you with two or three others over weeks. They want to see roofs like theirs, how you quote, what guarantee comes with it and how you handle surprises once the old tiles are off, because NFRC warns them an estimate can change at that point.
The quiet months
Across the last year of search data, roof repair hit 12,100 searches a month in September and October and fell to 3,600 in May and July, under a third of the peak. Summer is when the website has to sell the planned work: re-roofs, flat roofs, fascias and chimneys.
What a roofing website has to show
Proof a homeowner can check themselves.
Every web designer will tell you to put your accreditation logos on. What they leave out is the law. Since 6 April 2025, displaying a trust mark or quality mark without the authorisation to use it is one of the practices the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 treats as unfair in all circumstances, and Trading Standards tells homeowners to check every logo they see. So we only put up the logos you hold, and we link each one to your own listing so the check takes one tap.
The rest is evidence of real work, set out where each customer looks for it: the emergency caller near the top, the re-roof customer further down.
Your own roofs, before and after
Photos of jobs you did, with the tile or slate, what was wrong and what you did about it. Shots of the felt and battens going on show the part a homeowner never sees. A stock photo of a perfect roof proves nothing.
Re-roof paperwork, in the right place
Replacing 50% or more of a roof means building control is told, or a roofer registered with a competent person scheme self-certifies the work. NFRC Competent Person Scheme members (the scheme started life as CompetentRoofer) give domestic customers a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee with the certificate. It does not cover repairs, so we put it on your re-roof work and nowhere near a slipped tile.
Logos that link to your listing
NFRC, TrustMark (the Government Endorsed Quality Scheme for work in and around the home, which NFRC is a scheme provider to) and any manufacturer approval you hold, each linked to the page that proves it. If you are not a member of something, it does not go on.
Insurance and guarantees, spelled out
Trading Standards tells people to check a roofer's insurance before they agree anything. Say what cover you hold and what guarantee comes with each kind of job, in writing, so nobody has to ring to ask.
How you quote and take payment
The warnings homeowners get are about cash deals, big payments up front and quotes that grow once the work has started. A short line on how you quote, when you take payment and how you price what you find under the tiles answers all three.
Your cancellation rights, stated
Agree a planned job in the customer's home and the law gives them 14 days to cancel, with the details in writing. Saying so on your website tells a nervous customer you are the opposite of the doorstep crowd. A visit they asked for to make an urgent repair is treated differently, and we word it to match.
What you get
One website, two ways in for the customer.
Everyone starts on Momentum, £100 a month. It is a one-page roofing website laid out for both customers: the call button and the emergency line at the top for the leak, then your roofs, your paperwork and how you quote for the person pricing a new roof. We write every word and you send the photos.
Fast Start adds the ads and a page for each service and area you advertise, for £300 a month on top. Somebody searching emergency roof repair lands on a page about emergency repairs, and somebody searching flat roof repair lands on flat roofs, which a single page about everything can never do.

What it costs
What a roofing website costs each month.
The website is £100 a month with VAT in, and that is the whole bill unless you want ads. With ads, you pay us £300 on top and pay Google at least £500 a month on your own card, and you can stop at the end of any month.
Set that against the work. Published cost guides put a roof leak repair at £220 to £550 and a new tiled roof on a three-bed semi at £10,000 to £15,000. One re-roof at the bottom of that range is worth 100 months of the website.
| What you have | Paid to us | Paid to Google | Your month |
|---|---|---|---|
| The website (Momentum) | £100 | Nothing | £100 |
| The website and the ads (Momentum + Fast Start) | £400 | From £500, on your own card | From £900 |
All prices include VAT.
What a roofing click costs
The dearest clicks are the urgent ones.
Here is what one Google Ads click costs on the searches homeowners make for roof work. A click on emergency roof repair costs £9.21, against £5.69 for roof replacement, even though the replacement is the far bigger job. Somebody with a leak rings the first roofer who looks like they will turn up. If your website makes them hunt for the number, you have paid for the click and the job went elsewhere.
| The job | What people search | One click |
|---|---|---|
| Emergency repair | "emergency roof repair" | £9.21 |
| Leak repair | "roof leak repair" | £7.48 |
| General repair | "roof repair" | £7.46 |
| Flat roof repair | "flat roof repair" | £6.27 |
| New roof | "new roof" | £5.89 |
| Roof replacement | "roof replacement" | £5.69 |
| Finding a roofer | "roofers near me" | £5.15 |
| Chimney repair | "chimney repair" | £3.93 |
Google Ads keyword data for the United Kingdom, pulled September 2026. These are advertisers' bids, so the price you actually pay for a click tends to land below them.
Who owns what
What stays yours if you ever leave.
Every roofing customer the website wins is yours, and so is the domain. On Fast Start the Google Ads account is opened in your name, so the campaigns and their history stay with you if you go. What happens to the build itself is in our terms and the table below.
| What | Who owns it | If you leave |
|---|---|---|
| Your leads and customers | You | Every customer you won stays yours. Ask and we send back your form leads. |
| Your domain name | You, and you pay for it | Stays yours. Point it wherever you like. |
| Your Google Ads account (Fast Start) | You: your name, your card | Stays with you, campaigns and history included. We remove our access. |
| The website build | Us | Comes offline at the end of the month. It cannot be moved or exported. |
About Google
We don't sell SEO to roofers.
"No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google."
Plenty of agencies will sell a roofer SEO. We are not one of them, because nobody can promise a roofer a spot in the free results, and Google says so itself.
What you can buy is the ad at the top of the screen when someone in your town searches for roof repair, at a click price you can see in the table above before you spend anything. Fast Start buys it from your own account. How that works is in Google Ads for tradesmen.
Straight answers
What roofers ask before signing.
- How much does a roofing website cost with you?
- £100 a month with VAT included. That covers the website, hosting and changes each month, with no setup or build fee. Ads are optional: £300 a month to us on top, plus an ad budget of at least £500 a month that goes to Google on your own card. Your domain name is the only other bill, and it stays yours.
- Can you put my NFRC or TrustMark logo on the website?
- Yes, if you hold it, and we link it to your listing so a homeowner can check it, which is exactly what Trading Standards tells them to do. Displaying a trust mark or quality mark without authorisation is banned outright under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, so we never put up a logo you are not entitled to.
- Do I need to be in a competent person scheme for re-roofs?
- No, but the work still has to be signed off. When 50% or more of a roof is replaced, building control has to be told before work starts, unless a roofer registered with a competent person scheme self-certifies it. The authorised schemes for roof coverings are NAPIT and CompetentRoofer, now run by NFRC. If you are registered, your website says so on the re-roof work, along with the 10-year insurance-backed guarantee domestic customers get with the certificate. If not, it says how building control is handled.
- Will a website get me to the top of Google for roofing?
- Not on its own, and we do not sell SEO. Google itself says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking. The top of the screen for searches like roof repair is an ad slot, priced per click, and Fast Start buys it from your own Google Ads account.
- How quickly can it go live, and what do you need from me?
- Three days, as a rule, once your details and photos are in. Send us real photos of roofs you have done, before and after if you have them, plus the memberships and guarantees you hold. You see every word before anything goes live.
- Can it help when roofing goes quiet in the summer?
- That is when the planned work matters most. The website puts re-roofs, flat roofs, fascias and chimneys in front of people who are not in a hurry, and with Fast Start the ads can be pointed at that work through the drier months. We will not promise you a number of jobs by a date, because nobody honestly can.
- Is there a contract?
- No. You pay by monthly Direct Debit with no minimum term, cancel through the form on our website or with your bank, and it ends at the close of that billing month.
- Do I own the website?
- You keep what it wins: your leads, your customers and your domain name, and on Fast Start the Google Ads account as well. The website build stays with us. It is live while you pay, and if you cancel it comes offline and cannot be moved elsewhere.
